Request access button when a document is private to you

As a user I want to be able to request access to a document that is private from me.

As a document owner I want to be able to approve request access to grant access to a document to the requester.


Practical use of functionality?

  1. User searches for a utilities document to find where the gas pipes are running through the site they are about to dig.

  2. User finds document but it has privacy enabled and they do not have access to the document.

  3. User clicks a button (on drop down or in the privacy icon)

  4. A "workflow" kicks off and send an access request to the owner of the document cc'ing in the document control team

  5. Owner or document control team issue document to user.

  6. Users gains access to the document and can add appropriate measures to the gas pipeline
What is the impact of not doing this?

Users will continue the way they are. Typically requesting access in an untracked way e.g. email.
